Burleson Co. businesses and churches to host faith speaker
CALDWELL, Texas (KBTX) – Building a faith-forward business. That’s the theme of an event sponsored by Burleson County businesses and churches.
Dinner and a Speaker: “Building A Faith Forward Business” is Friday, April 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Caldwell Civic Center, 103 TX Hwy 21 in Caldwell.
The evening will include a meal catered by BB Catering and Steve Miller as the guest speaker.
Miller is a founder and president of Millwood, Inc., a leading provider of new, used and reconditioned pallets, industrial packaging equipment, systems and consumables, and erosion control products and services.
Miller opened Millwood in Holmes County, Ohio out of high school, and today has over 1,700 team members in nearly 40 locations throughout the United States.
Don Groom, CEO of Trussworks LLC in Burleson County, has known Miller for nearly 40 years and asked him to speak to the community about being a faith-forward business owner.
The event is free, but donations will be accepted for Hornets Helping Hornets, a nonprofit organization that helps students of all ages in need in Caldwell ISD. Hornets Helping Hornets provides school clothes, Christmas gifts, financial support for students in dual credit courses, and other needs.
The Burleson County Chamber of Commerce is taking reservations for the event. You can call 979-567-0000 or go to their website for more information.
