Bryan ISD teacher receives Read 180 Award
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A Rudder High School teacher was recognized for his work in the classroom Tuesday.
Jihad Wright teaches a Read 180 class, a reading intervention class to help improve kids’ reading levels, at Rudder High School in Bryan.
Tuesday morning he was surprised with the Read 180 Outstanding Educator Award.
”I’m usually not speechless but I was really speechless to just try and find the words of gratitude. All of the credit goes to my kids and the hard work they have put in this year up to this point,” said Wright.
Wright says his greatest accomplishment as a teacher is watching his kids grow in their reading skills.
