Brazos County students to showcase hard work at Youth Livestock Show

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The 68th annual Brazos County Youth Livestock Show gets underway this weekend.

Students will show off their projects and animals for the chance of winning money that can go toward future projects or college education.

It all begins with the BCYLA Kickoff Dance on Saturday, March 16 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Brazos County Expo. The evening will honor scholarship recipients and announce this year’s youth livestock show queen.

Then there will be daily shows at the Brazos County Expo starting Monday, March 18 and concluding with a premium auction Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m.

The commercial steer auction is Tuesday, March 19 at noon at the Brazos County Livestock Commission.

The sales are free to attend and open to the public.
