Brazos County A&M Club to host off-campus Muster

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Brazos County A&M Club hosts an off-campus Muster each year to honor fallen Aggies.

This is one of the most cherished and solemn traditions at Texas A&M University.

David Rhodes, the Muster Chairman for the Brazos County A&M Club, said the tradition separates A&M from other universities.

“We honor the Aggies that have passed away in the last year and it brings closure to families,” he said, “An example is last year, we had a 15-year-old boy. He was not an Aggie, but his parents were so we got to honor him and the parents came up to us afterward and said what an amazing thing that is.”

Rhodes also said the tradition is worth seeing, even if you didn’t lose someone.

“It’s just so special for the loved ones to see how many people did come out to say, hey, I didn’t know your person, but I’m gonna say ‘here’ for your loved one,” he said.

The event will be held this Sunday at 6 p.m.
