Blinn College partners with Texas Women’s University for co-enrollment music therapy program

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Blinn College is teaming up with Texas Woman’s University to announce a new music therapy partnership.

The colleges say the new partnership will provide students with a clear and affordable pathway to their Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy.

Students can co-enroll at both institutions. They will earn their Associate of Arts in Music from Blinn and then can use those credits towards their Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from TWU.

“Texas Woman’s is excited about extending opportunities in music therapy to the students of Blinn College,” said TWU’s College of Arts & Sciences Dean Abigail Tilton. “Facilitating the transition from a community college to Texas Woman’s aligns with our mission of helping educate more Texans, and we are doubly pleased to be opening up a career pathway that is both growing and promoting health and wellbeing.”

“Blinn is proud to partner with Texas Woman’s University to provide our students with a seamless and affordable pathway to earn their degrees in this innovative and rewarding field,” said Debbi Vavra, Dean of Arts, Kinesiology, and Agriculture. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to academic excellence while opening the doors for aspiring music therapists to make a meaningful impact in healthcare and beyond. Together, we look forward to helping students use their musical skills to bring healing and hope to those in need.”
