BHS journalism team places first at district UIL meet

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Bryan High School journalism team received the top award at the UIL district meet this week in Midway.

The team earned 14 out of 15 possible medals after competing in five journalism events; news, feature, editorial, headline, and copy editing.

Members of the team are Reily Dominy, Ace Roueche, Addi Hollinger, Will Zwerneman, Katherine Keyser and Samantha Lamb.

The journalism team was part of a larger Viking Academic team which brought home five out of 10 first place team plaques and 29 individual medals.
