Authorities investigating after one person injured in Milam County hit and run

MILAM COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) – Authorities in Milam County are investigating a hit and run that left one person injured Tuesday night.

Authorities say on Aug. 6, a hit and run crash happened in Milam County on US 190 near Country Road 125.

The area is a construction zone, and the crash happened at an underpass between Rogers and Buckholts, authorities say.

The crash involved a pickup truck towing two vehicles that was driving eastbound on US 190 and a single cab pickup truck driving westbound on US 190, according to authorities.

As a result of the crash, authorities say the driver of the single cab pickup truck, identified as a 50-year-old man from Rogers, was trapped in his vehicle and taken by helicopter to Baylor Scott and White in Temple. His condition is currently unknown.

The driver of the other vehicle did not stop, and authorities are working to find the suspect.
