Arts Council of the Brazos Valley names new CEO

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The Arts Council of the Brazos Valley has named Leslie Bowlin as Chief Executive Officer.

Bowlin will join the ACBV after serving the past 10 years as the executive director of the Houston Maritime Center & Museum.

“Her extensive background includes public relations, investing, and business operations, as well as chairing many high-profile and successful charity events with The Houston Symphony, The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, Hospice at Texas Medical Center, and the UT Health Science Center. She has also served on several non-profit boards including The Fay School, Northwood University, the Houston Grand Opera, and UT Health PARTNERS,” a press release from the Arts Council reads.

Per the release, Bowlin will head up development and community efforts, as well as manage daily staff and volunteer operations.

The Arts Council of the Brazos Valley had been operating without a CEO for more than seven months following the resignation of Sheree Boegner in December 2023.
