All new Women’s Wellness Mini Series starting in July

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The Brazos Valley Mental Health & Wellness group started a Women’s Wellness Mini Series for the month of July. The series will focus on relationships, adapting to change & self care.

The series will consist of three sessions during the month of July and costs $75 for all of them or $25 per class. Their goal is to embrace the women of the community and to help them promote healthier lifestyles. The BVMHW said some women can’t afford one-on-one therapy sessions, so the Women’s Wellness Mini Series should help them with not only their mental health, but with their financial costs too.

“Many times, women go through things and they may not know how to handle or deal with it or even recognize what they’re going through, so again focusing on women’s wellness and their health and mental health, it definitely needs to be a priority,” said Tanisha Pickney, the counseling intern who will be leading the classes.

The BVMHW will accept walk-ins or purchases over the phone. The classes will take place on July 6, 13, and 27 and will go from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. In August, they will be hosting something similar but those sessions will be focused on teachers.
