Aggie Baseball fans get ready for the College World Series Finals with baseball gear
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The Texas A&M Aggie baseball team is one step closer to becoming champions of the College World Series. It has fans excited and getting their baseball gear ahead of the weekend match-up.
C.C. Creations in College Station has plenty of Aggie Baseball gear to go around from shirts to jerseys, hats, baby clothes, baseballs, pins and more and fans are coming out in full force to get their hands on them. According to the business they’ve been so busy that they are constantly printing more and more clothing to keep up with the demand. This excitement started early in the regular season and has continued to grow as the Aggies continued in Omaha, according to Mark Munguia, C.C. Creation’s
One of the most popular items has been the “GOOD’ gear which Munguia said has been flying off the shelves.
“What you see on me is what the players are wearing but we got behind it because of the positivity,” Munguia said about the “Good” gear. “When things are going bad or when something goes bad in your life or things don’t go the way you want it to be you just say the word good. So the rallying cry for the baseball team really resonated with us and we’re able to produce merchandise and get fans behind that same message.”
Throughout the afternoon fans poured into C.C. Creations to look at and buy the various clothing items they offered.
“We had to get some updated gear and some more baseball gear to support the Aggies for sure,” said Cynthia Randall, an Aggie baseball fan who came in with her two kids.
Randall wasn’t the only mom who came out to make sure her family was ready for gameday, Ashlee Spalding who attended Texas A&M and grew up watching baseball came out with her two kids.
“We are so excited. I can’t believe it never happened before and just excited to get to wittiness that, I mean not in person but to get to watch and cheer them on from home and we have just been really fortunate to go to some games this year and we just love watching Aggie baseball,” Spalding said.
“We’re excited! Super excited,” Spalding’s two young kids Abigail and James said about watching their favorite team play.
The Aggies will take on Tennessee in a best-of-three championship starting on Saturday. If the Aggies manage to become champions Munguia said C.C. Creations is ready.
“We have national championship gear teed up so we’ll launch that right after the game when they win on Sunday if not Monday and it will be in store either Monday or Tuesday but online it will be available immediately,” Munguia said.
