Robertson County, Texas DPS investigate fatality in multi-vehicle crash along Highway 6
ROBERTSON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) responded to a major multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on Highway 6 Wednesday afternoon. One fatality has been confirmed.
In a special alert from RCSO shortly before 4:30 p.m., authorities said a wreck took place along Highway 6 and FM 2549 in Robertson County.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) told KBTX three vehicles were involved, taking the life of one person. Texas DPS will notify next-of-kin and perform a preliminary investigation before releasing an identity.
RCSO said the northbound lanes would be diverted to FM 2549 and southbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane of travel.
Drivers should expect traffic delays for a “long period of time,” the alert reads. In the meantime, you are urged to find an alternative route to take.
