Central Texas nonprofit requests volunteers to build ‘Lunches With Love’ for families in need
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas is looking for volunteers to assemble bagged lunches for an easy on-the-go option for families.
Lunches with Love is a great way for families to enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal without having to leave their child’s side in the hospital.
Providing access to a meal also relieves the financial burden on families who are focusing on their child’s medical care.
To get involved, you can organize co-workers, friends, or family to gather the food supplies, including the lunch sacks, assemble the lunches at the Ronald McDonald offices or the Family Room at the hospitals, and then deliver the lunches to the Family Rooms.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas provides lodging and support services for families with hospitalized children.
Organizers say having an easy meal is the perfect way to keep families energized throughout their days at the hospital.
