Giddings man faces felony charges following multi-county police pursuit
LEE COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – Several law enforcement agencies across the Brazos Valley responded to a multi-county chase late last Thursday night, resulting in the arrest of one man on multiple felony charges.
The following Monday, KBTX learned Nathan Ray Artmann Wallace of Giddings, was arrested following the pursuit. According to a release, police were initially investigating an online solicitation of a minor case when they “came in contact with the red Dodge truck driven by Wallace,” according to the release.
Officers attempted to make contact with Wallace, but he ran, and officers gave chase.
At around 10 p.m. the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) was alerted of the chase entering the county on Highway 21 eastbound. The chase began in Burleson County and continued into Lee County where Lee County Deputies, Constable Precinct 2, and Giddings Police Officers assisted Burleson County authorities and Caldwell Police Officers in the pursuit.
According to LCSO and Caldwell Police, the suspect abandoned his vehicle in the median on Highway 290 and ran. He was arrested in a pasture and taken into custody a short time later.
Wallace was taken to the Burleson County Jail where he faces three felony charges, including online solicitation of a minor, evading arrest in a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.
