18-wheeler wreck shuts down stretch of HWY 79 in Robertson County
ROBERTSON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – A wreck Monday afternoon closed off a stretch of Highway 79 for ‘an extended period of time.’
An alert from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office reported a crash at Highway 79 and the Navasota River shut down a portion of the roadway.
The sheriff’s office advised drivers to find another route to take while authorities clean up.
According to a Facebook post from Easterly Volunteer Fire Department, the crash involved at least one 18-wheeler just before 1 p.m.
The VFD alerted roadways were reopened and functioning as normal at around 2:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported. KBTX will update this article with new information if it is made available.
