Bryan ISD superintendent discusses goals for 2024-2025 school year

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Tuesday will mark the start of the new school year for Bryan ISD.

Approximately 16,000 students will return to classrooms across the district on August 13.

Superintendent Ginger Carrabine says they’re excited for a new year.

“Just picking up where we left off,” said Carrabine. “We had tremendous momentum last year so we’re excited to engage our community and invite our families back into our schools to join forces with us.”

She said there are some big district projects that are close to completion.

“O.W. Sadberry Intermediate School opened last year with just fifth grade,” she said.
”So those fifth graders will be sixth graders and we’re bringing in a brand new crop of fifth graders. So Sadberry will be at full capacity this year and we’re very excited about that.”

There will also be a dedication for the Ruby Haliburton Auxiliary Complex.

“On September 23, we’re going to break the ribbon and welcome our community to come in and celebrate that,” she said.
