Multi-county chase through Brazos Valley leads to arrest

LEE COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – Several law enforcement agencies across the Brazos Valley responded to a multi-county chase late Thursday night, resulting in the arrest of one man.

At around 10 p.m. the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) was alerted of a chase entering the county on Highway 21 eastbound. The chase began in Burleson County and continued into Lee County where Lee County Deputies, Constable Precinct 2, and Giddings Police Officers assisted Burleson County authorities and Caldwell Police Officers in the pursuit.

According to LCSO, the suspect abandoned his vehicle in the median on Highway 290 and ran. He was arrested and taken into custody a short time later.

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the Burleson County Jail.
