Two women arrested during sting operation in Grimes County
GRIMES COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – The following news release was shared Wednesday by the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office:
On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at approximately 5:00 pm, Deputies and Investigators from the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, the Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force, Special Agents with the Department of Public Safety, and the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, executed multiple search warrants on a property in Grimes County located close to the Waller County line. During the investigation, all subjects were detained without incident.
A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a 2014 Ranch King utility trailer were confirmed stolen and recovered. Two other possible stolen vehicle recoveries were made.
Twenty-six grams of Methamphetamine were recovered. Also, marijuana, Hydrocodone, Tramadol, suspected ecstasy pills, psychedelic mushrooms, suspected heroin, and other narcotics were recovered.
Multiple firearms were recovered, of which four had been reported stolen. Additionally, firearms with obliterated serial numbers and illegal suppressors were recovered.
Brandi Leigh White was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B, greater than 4 grams, less than 200 grams, a 2nd Degree Felony. Additional charges pending.
Melissa Marie Wagner was arrested on an outstanding Grimes County warrant, Failure to Appear/ Motion to Adjudicate, Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1/1B, less than 1 gram, a State Jail Felony.
The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office says deputies recovered drugs, weapons, and possibly several stolen vehicles.
