College Station’s Century Square continues to develop, openings begin this August
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Additions to Century Square in College Station continue as the end creeps into sight. Construction is getting ready to wrap up as more and more businesses put eyes on the area.
Six businesses have been announced, but there’s still room for more. Century Square marketing strategist Madi Poland told KBTX eight spots total will be open for new restaurants or retail. Currently, six of those are Sephora, ChopShop, Coco Shrimp, Dimassi’s, Houston Hot Chicken, and Wells Fargo.
“We’re gonna get to hand over the spaces pretty soon and then the new businesses will get started building out. We have a few expected this fall and some early next spring,” Poland said.
Trufusion and Renew You, health and wellness studios, will be moving into Century Square near the Star Cinema Grill. These are expected in 2025.
Just prior to the Century Square additions, PopStroke located near College Avenue is expected to open in late August. Representatives say an opening date is expected in the coming weeks.
Plans for Legacy Point near Northgate continue building out. A preliminary plan for the Culpepper Realty and L.V. Collective development was submitted to the City of College Station for utilities in the area. This is 10 acres located at the corner of University Drive and College Avenue.
In March, details were released about what this development will look like, adding that the Culpepper group has been working on plans for Legacy Point for many years.
In part, the statement read, “with a prime location and proximity to campus, this development will revitalize and renew the area, bringing new, unique housing and retail to complement the success of Century Square. Plans for this phase include student housing along with ground-floor retail and connection of the internal drive in front of The Stack to South College Avenue.”
This construction is expected to begin early 2025.
