Save the date for Brazos Valley’s 21st annual Dash for Down Syndrome
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Mark your calendar for the Down Syndrome Association of Brazos Valley’s Dash for Down Syndrome.
This year’s walk is Saturday, October 12 at Wolf Pen Creek in College Station.
The event celebrates National Down Syndrome Awareness Month (DSAM) and includes bounce houses, games, entertainment, a raffle, food trucks, face painting, and more.
This is the 21st anniversary of the awareness walk, which is fitting because it celebrates the 21st chromosome.
Participants can join an existing team or create their own.
Down Syndrome Association of Brazos Valley serves all individuals with differing abilities, not just Down Syndrome. The association has monthly activities, picnics, summer camp, special occasion events, and new this year is respite care for parents to have a date night.
Registration for Dash for Down Syndrome is free. You can purchase a t-shirt for $25.00.
