Yes, there’s a MAGA rally in Caldwell next week, No, Trump will not be there
CALDWELL, Texas (KBTX) – The Burleson County Republican Party is hosting a “MAGA Rally” next week in Caldwell to drum up excitement and support among the conservative base in their community but former President Donald Trump will not be in attendance.
The clarification was made Tuesday by Karen Bolt with the Burleson County Republican Party, who said she was fielding phone calls about a potential visit following an inaccurate report by the Waco FOX affiliate KWKT-TV.
“No, he won’t be joining us. We’ll have plenty of images of Mr. Trump and Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller will also be joining us as a special guest,” said Bolt.
The free event is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 1 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Expo Center in Caldwell.
Representative Stan Gerdes and other local leaders will also be in attendance, Bolt confirmed.
Attendees are encouraged to wear their “best Trump/MAGA outfits” and free Trump/Vance yard signs will also be available.
