See a ‘dive in’ movie with Bryan Parks & Recreation

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Grab your floaties and get ready to catch a classic film at the Bryan Aquatic Center.

The center will be showing a “dive-in” movie, featuring the family favorite, Finding Nemo (2003).

Bryan Aquatics coordinator, Hayden Johnson, joined First News at Four on Monday. He said the screening includes food vendors.

“We’ll have Something Different out there. It’s one of our food vendors. We’ve been using them all season so far. They seem pretty popular. We’re excited to have them,” Johnson said.

A few special guests are also scheduled to make an appearance at the dive-in.

“We’ll have some mermaid swimmers from Aggieland Scuba. Before the movie starts, they’re gonna be putting on a little show for everybody, and then as the movie is rolling we’ll have mermaids swimming through the water playing with the children, and then they’ll have a photo op,” added Johnson.

Admission is $3.00 for ages 4 through 11, and $5.00 for ages 12 and older. Children 4 years old and younger are free to enter at no additional cost.

The Bryan Aquatic Center will be capping the number of guests for the event at 400.

You can visit the dive-in showing of Finding Nemo at 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 26.
