Weekend Gardener: Preserving your harvest
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – “We are actually really blessed here in Texas we have such a long growing season,” said Jayla Fry with Texas A&M AgriLife.
If you’re going to preserve your crop for later use, it’s important to do it correctly, says Fry.
“There are some wonderful resources that you can use to preserve what you grow. Now, the National Center for Home Food Preservation is based out of the University of Georgia. Here in Texas, we still use that resource. This is your number one resource for home food preservation,” she said.
