Beat the heat with 13th annual Hog Splash by Hospice Brazos Valley

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – It’s time to beat the heat with Hospice Brazos Valley at the 13th annual Hog Splash.

Cindy Emola and Amy Cabrera joined First News at Four on Tuesday to talk about the fundraiser, saying it’s a fun activity for a good cause.

“We cover 17 counties, so we cover a lot of underinsured and unfunded patients in the area, and the Hospice Brazos Valley does such good work for people who are facing end-of-life care,” Emola said.

The event is a bracket-style tournament, and teams can still sign up for the event.

Hospice Brazos Valley will also have food on-site if you’re attending, or even just there to watch and support friends.

“We’ve got lots of food vendors out there. We’ve got Raging Bull Tacos, we’ve got Kona ice for cooling off, we’ve got Brick & Ember Pizza out there, 1775 Barbeque, and Java Love Bus for coffee and sweets,” listed Emola.

Hog Splash 2024 is August 24 beginning at 9 a.m. at Slovacek Foods – 9500 Slovacek Road in Snook.

Spectators and children are free to attend. Attendees and participants are encouraged to bring sunscreen and towels with them.
