H-E-B offering discount on frozen foods in areas impacted by Hurricane Beryl

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – H-E-B announced a discount program on frozen foods in areas impacted by Hurricane Beryl.

Beginning Sunday, July 14 through Sunday, July 21, customers in select areas can save 10 percent on all frozen food items, including ice. Stores offering the discount are located in the Golden Triangle, East Texas, Bryan/College Station and Brenham.

According to a release, the discount will automatically be applied to eligible items at the register and only to purchases made in-store.

“We’re in this together with our neighbors, and this discount is a way for us to lend a hand as people begin to regain power and restock their freezers,” Armando Perez, H-E-B Executive Vice President of Houston Food Drug, said in the release.

H-E-B also deployed a mobile kitchen to Sargent, Texas, an area hit hard when Beryl made landfall in the early morning hours of July 8. The entire town of Sargent lost power and recovery efforts there are expected to take months.
