Create sweet, savory combinations for National French Fry Day

It’s National French Fry Day, which marks the celebration of a dish enjoyed by all ages.
One Brazos Valley restaurant known for its fry variety is the Proudest Monkey in Downtown Bryan.
It’s located at 108 South Main Street.
The restaurant offers sweet potato fries and Idaho fries with different spice combinations.
The Proudest Monkey’s yuppy fries and dirty fries are the restaurant’s most popular styles.
Jose Cantrell, the restaurant’s general manager, joined BVTM Friday to share how they’re made.
The yuppy fries are made with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
The dirty fries are made with salt, pepper and sugar.
They’re both served with the in-house-made monkey sauce and ketchup.
Along with showcasing restaurant favorites, Jose shared how to elevate fries even more at Teppy’s Taphouse.
It’s located at 112 South Main Street in downtown Bryan.
He created the gameday fries and the payday fries.
Gameday fries are made with crinkle-cut fries and topped with nacho cheese, pickled jalapenos and pickled onions.
The payday fries are also made with crinkle-cut fries and topped with nacho cheese, pickled jalapenos, pickled onions and brisket.
Both are served with a side of sour cream.
