College Station residents continue Independence Day tradition

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Members of College Station’s Foxfire neighborhood celebrated Independence Day with a long-standing event.

They hosted the 17th Annual 4th of July Bike & Trike Parade at the Foxfire Triangle.

Participants traveled around the triangle three times to represent life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

“Fourth of July, to me, is one of the most important holidays that we have in our country and so again reminding folks that it’s not just a barbecue,” Foxfire HOA president Kimberly McAdams said. “There’s a reason why we’re here.”

Resident Blanche Brick has been a part of the event since its start. She said the goal is to always make an impact.

“We really love being able to share this day with so many of the youngsters and remind them of the responsibilities we have as citizens,” Brick said.
