Enjoy Independence Day at 5th Annual Fireworks & Drones Show in Bryan
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Thursday is Independence Day and there will be several places to celebrate.
One is the 5th Annual Fireworks & Drones Show at the Texas A&M RELLIS campus in Bryan.
“The drones show gets bigger and better every year,” Cathy Edwards with the Texas A&M University System said. “We’ve got 300 drones this year, so they’re going to be able to do some pretty amazing things so you’re not going to want to miss that.”
The show begins at 9 p.m. and the parking lot will open at 6 p.m.
Food trucks will be on-site from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. According to Edwards, there will be more compared to last year, so people will have plenty to choose from.
Aside from visiting food trucks, attendees are asked to stay around their vehicles during the event. Although, attendees can take coolers and lawn chairs to enjoy the show outside of their cars.
It’ll be important to give yourself extra time to travel to campus and to park, according to traffic engineer Debbie Albert.
There will be two entrances, one off Highway 21 and another off Highway 47. Those will close at 8:45 p.m.
“Depending on where you come in, you’ll be routed to a couple of different parking lots,” traffic engineer Debbie Albert said.
The map is below.
The event will be held at the Texas A&M Rellis campus.
Road closures will go into effect at 5 p.m. The ramp from Highway 21 to Highway 47 will be closed.
Starting at 6 p.m., the ramp from Highway 47 to Highway 21 West will be closed.
According to Albert, parking along the highway to watch the show is prohibited.
For those who can’t attend the show in person, it’ll be broadcast on KBTX’s Facebook page and website.
