Entergy shares update on widespread outage in Robertson County

FRANKLIN, Texas (KBTX) – Entergy Texas says a downed transmission wire is what caused a widespread outage impacting several communities Monday night in Robertson County.

Approximately 4,000 customers in Kosse, Bremond, Franklin, and Calvert were affected by the outage.

“Our line crews worked safely throughout the day to repair the damaged wire, restoring power to all affected customers just after midnight on Tuesday, July 2,” said Sr. Communications Specialist Debbie Bridgeman.

“Entergy Texas remains dedicated to ensuring reliable service and keeping the lights on for our communities,” said Bridgeman.

As the 2024 hurricane season becomes more active, the company encourages all customers to stay safe and informed by visiting Entergy’s Storm Center.
