Texas A&M Board of Regents to discuss development agreement at special meeting
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents will hold a special meeting Wednesday.
The board will convene and immediately go into executive session.
The first item listed on the agenda is the authorization to negotiate and execute a development agreement, and other related agreements regarding a manufacturing facility at the Texas A&M RELLIS campus.
The board is expected to consider and take action on the agreement once they reconvene from Executive Session.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

KBTX spoke with Chancellor John Sharp Monday, who hinted at the agreement when he announced his retirement, effective June 30, 2025.
“We have some things that are pending that we’re working with [Bryan] Mayor [Bobby] Gutierrez, that we’re working with [Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation CEO] Susan Davenport and several folks, that I’m under a non-disclosure agreement, just like Bobby is and the rest of them, but I think the potential for this next year may be the biggest ever,” Sharp said.
