Hotel McCoy in College Station hosting inaugural Art Walk
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Hotel McCoy is inviting families to immersive themselves in art.
It’s hosting its first Art Walk Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This will be a recurring event to connect the community to artists across the Brazos Valley.
“This is definitely going to be different,” hotel general manager Brian Keeth said. “It gets you one-on-one with the artists and so they get to tell you what their hearts putting into it.”
There will be a variety of art at the event including woodworking, crochet pieces, plants and paintings.
Some of the participating artists are below.
Darrell Hendricks
Darrell Hendricks is the owner of Hendricks Woodcrafts.
He makes a variety of cutting boards, state-shaped wall art, lazy susans and more.
Bree Frasier
Bree Frasier is the owner of Pot Heads Plant Shop in Bryan.
She’ll have a variety of plants at the Art Walk along the pots for customers to paint.
Michelle Southern
Michelle Southern is the owner of The Coconut Lanai.
She creates a variety of crochet pieces including Stanley cups, unicorns, fish and positive pickles.
Along with art, the event will have music, food trucks and drink specials.
The hotel is located at 3702 Highway 6 South in College Station.
