Aggie fans witness history at College World Series
OMAHA, Nebraska (KBTX) – Texas A&M fans have already witnessed history at the College World Series since the Aggies have never been 2-0 in Omaha.
Now, the 12th Man is hoping to witness even more history with the program’s first national title.
A&M was the night cap game here on semifinal Wednesday. Fans were out in about around Charles Schwab Field buying their memorabilia and killing time before the night game.
News 3 caught up with new and old Aggies ranging from the Class of 1979 to the Class of 2021. Fans said this team’s run has been unbelievable.
“It’s pretty unreal,” Anne Pool, A&M Class of 1979 said. “It’s not that I didn’t think they could do it, but I was just kind of skeptical, but I think we have a chance.
“A national championship brought home to College Station.. it’s everything for us,” Steven Smith, A&M Class of 1981 said. “It’s just really really big. We count this as momentous for A&M and for us.”
Many fans are going to try and stay through the championship series.
They just have to tell their bosses they won’t be coming back to work this week and also need to adjust their lodging.
