Remains of missing Houston County man found following arrest of murder suspect
CROCKETT, Texas (KBTX) – The Houston County Sheriff’s Office has located the remains of a missing man from Crockett.
According to the sheriff’s office, the body of Patrick White, Sr. was found in the southern part of Henderson County on Saturday, June 15.
White was reported missing by a family member on Wednesday, June 5.
A few days later on June 10, White’s vehicle was found and brought to the sheriff’s office.
The Houston County Sheriff’s office and the Texas Rangers are working together on the investigation. They determined they had enough evidence to charge a suspect in the case.
On June 13, Deshayon Knight, of Crockett, was arrested and taken into custody. Knight is charged with Capital Murder in the disappearance and murder of Patrick White. A motive has not been revealed.
An autopsy is being performed on White. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate and is asking anyone with information to contact them.
