Grimes County: Man sentenced to prison for sexual assault of a child

ANDERSON, Texas (KBTX) – A 44-year-old man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to charges of sexually assaulting a child.

Margarito Anguiano’s plea deal happened on Wednesday, June 12 in Grimes County.

The investigation began in September 2023 when a 14-year-old girl made an outcry of sexual abuse to a school resource officer in Navasota.

Assistant District Attorney Meagan Callaham said work between the DA’s Office, Navasota Police, and DPS helped secure the confession and sentence.
