Update: Waller County Sheriff’s office charges man in his father’s murder
WALLER COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – The Waller County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man for his alleged involvement in his father’s death.
Navasota Police assisted in the investigation.
Joshua Land, of Waller, was taken into Grimes County custody earlier this month, after being charged in a separate incident. He was arrested on Saturday, June 1, after allegedly shooting a dog in the parking lot of a Navasota Business.
On Monday, June 3, Navasota Police requested a welfare check for Land’s father. When authorities arrived at his home in Waller, they found he was deceased.
It was confirmed by authorities the next day that the man’s death was being investigated as a homicide.
On Friday, June 7, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office charged Land with murder.
Land remains in the Grimes County jail.
