TxDOT tol hold another round of I-14 Corridor Open House Meetings
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – TxDOT is hosting another round of public Open House Meetings this month, continuing the I-14 Central Texas Corridor study.
The I-14 Central Texas Corridor plans to make moving East to West across Central Texas safer, relieve congestion, and improve traffic mobility.
TxDOT is looking for input from the people the corridor will affect the most. They’ll hold six open houses starting on June 26, the one in Bryan taking place at Legends Event Center.
Bob Colwell, with Bryan TxDOT, said these meetings will identify more refined areas for the future I-14 Corridor that will span from Huntsville over to Rogers in Bell County.
“We know that this is a future project but it is a much-needed project because we continue to grow here in Central Texas, so it’s very important for us to hear from the public because the public knows their property better than we do,” said Colwell. “The public knows their land and where they would like to see the roadway go more than we and that is the reason why want to listen and we hold these meetings so that we can take that input and continue to develop a Corridor that everybody will be happy with.”
The Open Houses are in Hearne, Cameron, Madisonville, Huntsville, Bryan, and Navasota. These meetings will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 pm. with the virtual meeting taking place on Wednesday, June 26.
