Drop off your donations all month long for the Summer Hunger Food Drive
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -To help combat food insecurity, KBTX is teaming up with the Brazos Valley Food Bank to help eliminate summer hunger.
Our Summer Hunger Food Drive sponsors are taking food donations throughout the month of June.
“Summertime in Texas, we all know is super hot so those utility bills are hitting the roof,” said Amanda Stark with the Brazos Valley Food Bank. “People on fixed income in this community might have to make those difficult choices between food and bills. Oftentimes food is what gets cut.”
At Paradowski Law, they have gifts they are giving out when you stop by to make a donation including hats, candy, koozies, and t-shirts.
You can also be entered to win a gift card.
“We are having a drawing. If you bring in 10 items or $10, you can enter your name in our drawing. We are going to give away five $100 HEB gift cards and a bicycle,” said Chrissy McBride with Paradowski Law.
Paradowski Law generously donated $1,000 to the Summer Hunger Food Drive to support Brazos Valley families in need.
“Everyone is struggling. The need is out there in the community. People are on fixed incomes, single-parent families, kids are out for summer. We just think that the need is so great that we want to get involved. We are called to love each other and care for each other,” said Stacy Hines with Paradowski Law.
