Aggieland Humane Society celebrates milestone of 25,000 spay and neuter surgeries

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -Aggieland Humane Society has achieved the milestone of 25,000 spay/neuter surgeries.

Aggieland Humane’s mobile spay/neuter unit has been a critical service to 25,000 pets and their families right here in the Brazos Valley.

The shelter has focused its efforts on three populations: community cats by Trap, Neuter, and Releasing (TNR), pets owned by those on government assistance, and pets adopted from Aggieland Humane and other local shelters.

Since its launch in September 2017, the goal of Aggieland Humane’s mobile spay/neuter unit has been to decrease pet overpopulation and ultimately reduce pet homelessness.
