KBTX and Brazos Valley Food Bank teaming up for Summer Hunger Food Drive

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – KBTX and the Brazos Valley Food Bank will team up this June for the Summer Hunger Food Drive.

Beginning June 1, food donations can be dropped off at several locations across the Bryan/College Station area.

Theresa Mangapora, the Executive Director for the Brazos Valley Food Bank, said some items they need include peanut butter, canned tuna, or other canned proteins and cereals.

“I feel like I talk about cereal all the time, but cereal is something you could eat for every meal if you like it, and kids tend to like it,” Mangapora said. She added soups, chilis, and stews in a can are all good items to donate.

During the first week of June, you can join KBTX anchors at the drop-off locations.

The locations are:

You’ll be able to drop off food at those locations, or the Brazos Valley Food Bank throughout June.
