AgriLife Extension on saving money at the grocery store

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – It is no secret that prices have been rising across the U.S., including grocery prices.

Here in the Brazos Valley, organizations are working to fight food insecurity, including those at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension of Brazos County. They’re hosting a meeting on how to use strategies to keep prices low.

“They’ll learn some tips to help them reduce their food bill. Depending on how diligent they are, they can reduce their bills from at least 20% or more. I know when I use the strategies, I’ve reduced mine at least by 50%,” Flora Williams, the county extension agent said.

The meeting is a virtual one, and it’s free.

“It’s going to be during the lunch hour and you can sign up. But if for some reason you can’t get to that signup link, you can give us a call at the extension office. Shoot us your e-mail address, and we’ll send you the link,” she said.

The first class is on June 7, you can sign up here.
