Stay cool this summer with the Brazos Valley Hockey Club
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – The Brazos Valley Hockey Club is hosting an exciting event – their Dallas Stars Learn to Play Program – which starts in July but you can register now.
Courtney Clark, the Director of Marketing and Advertising, and Damian Clark, a volunteer, joined First News at Four Thursday to discuss the event.
“It’s a program for kids aged 4 to 12 and it’s an opportunity for them to try out hockey. They get six hours of instruction and a bag full of all the gear they need that is brand new and they get to keep it at the end,” Courtney said.
Damian, who participated in the program when he was younger, said it was a great experience for him.
“It was a lot of fun, but it also allowed me to grow and love the sport and opportunities to learn some coaching from others. It was a fun opportunity and I’m glad I did it,” he said.
It is $250 per child for the program.
