Volunteers needed for Memorial Day flag placement with Wreaths Across America

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Wreaths Across America is continuing its work to recognize and honor veterans after they pass.

Ellen Fuller joined First News at Four on Tuesday to discuss their flag placement events before memorial day.

“We’re doing 300 plus wreaths on the 24th at Oakwood and Bryan. And then on Saturday [the 25th] at 8:00, also Bryan City Cemetery has almost 1350. And then at 8:30 on Saturday the 25th at College Station. And then Sunday at 2:00, Memorial Aggie Field of Honor for a total of almost 2900 flags,” she said.

Fuller said they need volunteers, so to contact Wreaths Across America Brazos Valley with more information.

“We’ve got plenty of flags. It’s just a matter of having people help us and we have one of our volunteers made a tool that will help people place it next to the stone without hurting it,” she said.
