Grimes County man sentenced to 35 years in prison for sexual abuse of a child

ANDERSON, Texas (KBTX) – A Grimes County man received a 35-year sentence to prison after pleading guilty today to sexually abusing a child, according to Grimes County prosecutors.

Juan Galindo, 44, is accused of abusing two kids in the Plantersville area.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office, DPS, and District Attorney’s Office worked together to gather evidence, including speaking with the girls who now reside in Illinois.

Galindo must serve the entire sentence without parole.

“Another pedophile has been removed from the Grimes County community because of cooperative police work and two brave young girls who came forward,” said Assitant District Attorney Meagan Callaham. “Our entire team has been passionate from day one about getting justice for the victims.”
