Newest addition to Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial to be dedicated
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Veterans Park is about to dedicate its newest memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Never Forget Garden.
The Monument and Never Forget Garden honors all armed forces veterans who gave their lives and identity in service to America in all military conflicts from the American Revolution to current day.
This will be a local place where families can come to honor loved ones who are missing in action or otherwise not present except in their hearts and memories without going to Arlington, Virginia.
The dedication of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Never Forget Garden is Tuesday, May 21 at 11 a.m. at Brazos Valley Veterans Park in College Station.
The program will begin with Brazos Valley Chorale providing patriotic music and the National Anthem, a massing of the colors from organizations wearing period uniforms including the Sons of the American Revolution, American Legion, Marine League, and Submariners.
The keynote speaker will be Roy May, formerly a Sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington, VA.
The dedication will conclude with a rifle volley and Taps by the American Legion.
