Road closures, flooding reported in parts of Brazos Valley Thursday morning

WALKER COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – Heavy rains overnight have caused some flooding on roads across the Brazos Valley.

As of early Thursday, most of the issues were concentrated in the eastern counties.

The Walker County Office of Emergency Management has been posting trouble spots on its Facebook page.

Around 3:30 a.m. this message was posted, ”According to TXDOT just about every road in Walker County has water on them except IH45. If at all possible stay where you are until this flash flooding passes and water recedes.”

FM1696 W is impassable for most of the road from Hopewell and past FM2550. Consider the road closed, first responders are having difficulties getting to the area.

Wire Road is impassable.

SH75 @ Brookview is passable, has 3′ water over road

Four Notch & Dorrel are flooded
