KBTX report leads to additional charges for theft suspect

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – A report shared by KBTX has led to additional criminal charges against a North Zulch man suspected of theft.

Last week Skylar William Salyers, 24, was arrested by Bryan police and charged with stealing a utility vehicle from a loading dock at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan.

On Sunday, April 28th, a social media post about the arrest was shared by Rusty Surette and seen by a security employee, who recognized Salyers as the man suspected of stealing several items last week from the Briarcrest Walmart.

According to an arrest report, Salyers was captured on video on April 23, taking a men’s watch, two gaming monitors, a 58-inch television, and a 12-inch Kicker Subwoofer. He reportedly used the stolen utility vehicle from the hospital to haul away the merchandise.

Salyers remains in the Brazos County Detention Center facing multiple charges.
