Driver of stolen Frito-Lay truck stopped by law enforcement in Milam County

MILAM COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – Law enforcement authorities worked together Wednesday to stop the driver of a stolen Frito-Lay truck in Milam County.

Milam County Public Information Officer Brett Eberhart tells KBTX that the truck was reported stolen out to Williamson County in the city of Taylor.

At some point, Eberhart says the truck was found in Lee County where law enforcement agencies including Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Lexington Police attempted to stop the truck.

The pursuit then went from Lee County into Milam County, where Rockdale Police and Milam County deputies were successful in deploying spike strips to puncture a tire. The truck was eventually stopped in the area of Highway 77 and Highway 79 and the driver was then taken into custody.

Video from the pursuit was captured on a cell phone camera and shared with News 3′s Rusty Surette:
