Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley celebrates five honorees at 16th Annual Tribute Luncheon

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -The Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley hosted its annual Tribute Luncheon Celebration of Philanthropy Tuesday.

For 19 years, the Community Foundation has set aside one day of the year to celebrate community servants.

John Anderson, Amber and Hunter Goodwin, and Lorraine and Chuck Hermann were all recognized this year.

”These individuals have shared their time and talents,” said Patricia Gerling, President and CEO of Community Foundation Brazos Valley. “They give back to the community for good causes, they invest in our community because we all love our community.”

The honorees all expressed gratitude for the community we live in.

“When you look at the people who have been selected in previous years as Community Foundation awardees, it’s indeed very humbling to be a part of that magnificent group,” Chuck Hermann said.

At the luncheon, there was also a raffle to be the “Philanthropist of the Day”. The winner was able to stand up and choose a nonprofit to receive a $15,000 endowment.

The winner chose Aggieland Humane Society to receive the endowment.
