Second person dies following intentional crash into Brenham DPS office

BRENHAM, Texas (KBTX) – A second person has died following the crash at the DPS office in Brenham earlier this month.

Cheryl Turner, 63, of Brenham, had been hospitalized in serious condition following the incident on April 12.

That’s when investigators say 42-year-old Clenard Parker of Chappell Hill intentionally crashed a stolen 18-wheeler into the Brenham DPS office. Investigators said Parker was denied his Commercial Driver’s License on Thursday and returned Friday to cause harm.

A total of 14 people were in the building when the 18-wheeler crashed. Everyone was injured.

Bobby Huff, 78, died after being air-lifted to a Bryan hospital.

Last week, the Washington County District Attorney filed four additional criminal charges against Parker.

DPS and the Washington County DA’s Office confirm a second person has died as a result of the incident at the Brenham DPS Office on April 12.

The victim is identified as Cheryl Turner, 63, of Brenham.
