Gladiator Dash at Lake Bryan to benefit Still Creek Ranch

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – On Sunday, April 14, One Army, a Texas A&M men’s service organization, will host the Gladiator Dash at Lake Bryan.

Gladiator Dash is a family-friendly 5K, obstacle-integrated mud run. “This year we have 15 obstacles with some terrain out there at the lake,” Gladiator Dash Logistics Chairman Adam Geiger said. “We designed the race to be ‘challenge by choice.’ So what that means is, it’s a race that anyone can start and everyone can finish.”

New to the course this year an obstacle called “Rush” which is a 10-foot tall wall for runners to climb over and slide down into a mud pit.

Registration is open now and costs $40 for non-students, $30 for students, and $20 for anyone under 18. Race day will include live music and food trucks.

Money raised from the Gladiator Dash will go to benefit Still Creek Ranch.

“This is really personal for us. We go out there every Friday. We go out and play basketball with the boys, we have a mentorship program with them,” Gladiator Dash Marketing Chair Sawyer Link said. “They’re really special to us.”

Along with the race, One Army is also holding a raffle. A list of prizes can be found here.
