College Station Noon Lions Club honors Brazos Valley first responders at luncheon

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The College Station Noon Lions Club honored local heroes at a luncheon Tuesday.

Proceeds benefitted the 100 Club and College Station Noon Lions Club Charities. The 100 Club raises money for the families of the first responders who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.

The Honoring Our Heroes Luncheon has been going on for 12 years.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet our first responders and to meet the community leaders that are here. We have people from the city council, we have people from both cities and we’re very glad to be able to do this,” said College Station Noon Lions Club President Mary Parish.

Patrick R. “Pat” Seiber, Public Relations Director for the George H.W. Bush Combat Development Complex at the Texas A&M–RELLIS Campus, was the featured guest speaker for the event.

The luncheon was emceed by KBTX’s Karla Castillo.
